Going to the Hospital?
Going in the hospital?  Please call the Parish FIRST and let the Parish know.  Need to receive the Sacrament of Anointing?   Ask the Parish to have a priest anoint you with this great healing Sacrament BEFORE you go to the hospital!  In addition let Admissions in the hospital or the Admissions folks in the Emergency Room know that you are Catholic and would like someone from the Parish to come and see you.  This will help ensure that someone from the Parish will visit you and bring you Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist.

If you get the chance, give your Grand Knight a call or send him an email and let him know. Ditto for the Faithful Navigator of our Fourth Degree Assembly.  Once the Council or the Assembly knows what is happening, we can send out a "Good of the Order” email and initiate a prayer chain for you or your loved one.  In addition, if you like, we can ask our Brothers and the Ladies of the Knights to send you cards, emails, and visit you if you like.

Want to learn as easy way to let your friends and loved ones know what is going on if your hospital stay may be a while?  Google “Caring Bridge!”  This is a great web site where you can set up your own web site to let everyone know what is going on.  “Caring Bridge” will lead you through the steps to set this up and you will be grateful you did.  When John Nichols had open heart surgery, he set up a Caring Bridge site and had over 1,600 hits on his Caring Bridge site and received many heartfelt prayers and good wishes.
